There is a market demand for an alternative to the dominate injection device - the syringe.
A syringe injection is unpleasant and painful for humans and animals alike. That is because most doses are given subcutaneously or intramuscularly, reaching deep enough into the skin to hit nerves and cause pain.
The novel and very small PKA micro-needle delivers the drug above the subcutaneous layer, avoiding the nerves that cause pain.
